Engineering 104
While I do not serve on the Purdue Student Engineering Foundation, I do respect a good program when I see it. The past few years, I have been a mentor for Engineering 104, a class designed to help incoming Purdue Freshmen Engineers integrate into the collegiate lifestyle. While it is a great program for freshmen, it serves as aiding mentors significantly as well. It provides Sophomore, Junior, and Senior engineers the opportunity to reflect on their previous experiences, aid in the development of others, and learn critical leadership skills.
The only reason I am promoting this program so much is because the call-out for ENGR104 mentors is tonight (January 30, 2007) and tomorrow night at 7pm in PHYS112. I apologize for lacking in the advanced notice, but if you have an opportunity (and happen to be a Purdue Engineering Student!) check it out.
